Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at IMS Global Gear & Machining. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Setup and Operation
    • Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to produce parts to specifications.
    • Inspect parts for quality and accuracy.
    • Make adjustments as needed to meet process prints.
  • Quality Control
    • Interpret M&M/CMM chart data to correct setup/operating errors.
    • Train operators on machine functionality and inspection criteria/process (SPC).
    • Monitor operator quality and productivity.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting
    • Perform basic machine maintenance, including replenishing machine with proper oils/fluids.
    • Troubleshoot basic machine alarms.
    • Change basic tools (inserts, brushes, etc.) proficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Verbally communicate company Quality Policy and explain company targets for PPM's and On-time Delivery.
    • Complete Labor Reporting card accurately and consistently.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Experience
    • 4-year related experience or training.
  • Skills
    • Machine setups for production runs.
    • Quality inspection experience.
    • Mechanical assembly skills.
    • Equipment troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred experience in machining forgings and alloy steels and maintaining tight production tolerances.
  • Ability to change various cutters (turn, hob, shave, broach, etc.).
Working Conditions

The CNC Machinist will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on quality and productivity.

Salary and Benefits

$18 - $25 / hr
