Job Description

Industrial Kinetics, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist III to join our team of manufacturing professionals. As a CNC Machinist III, you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of custom steel parts for our clients in various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture parts, sub-assemblies, and units to exact specifications using manual and CNC equipment.
  • Operate and setup various manual equipment, including lathes, mills, and drill presses.
  • Program and operate CNC lathes to produce high-precision parts.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Use hand tools and assemble parts as required.
  • Maintain and repair shop tools and equipment.
  • Organize inventory and shop equipment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Operate cranes and forklifts upon proper certification.
  • Adhere to prescribed safety principles and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Keep assigned area neat and orderly, and record labor into the ERP system.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor to support the team and achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in operating, setting up, and programming manual and CNC equipment used for manufacturing.
  • Thorough working knowledge of shop math and geometric tolerancing.
  • Knowledge of general hand tool use, including drill presses, chop saws, and band saws.
  • Ability to read and interpret a wide variety of written instructions, prints, and sketches, and detect and correct errors.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to variations in assembly with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read measuring devices, both in English and Metric.
  • Ability to perform work while standing or stooping for long periods of time, and to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Conveyor system experience preferred.
