We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Staff Management | SMX. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine tools to produce high-quality parts and products.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain CNC machine tools to produce parts and products with high precision and accuracy.
- Set up and adjust machine tools to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and make necessary adjustments to resolve issues.
- Train and mentor less experienced machinists to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Collaborate with the new product development team to assist with design for manufacturability and improve production processes.
- Work from process sheets, blueprints, setup sheets, setup cards, machine status boards, and verbal and written instructions to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Machine and install or re-cut chuck jaws as required, and insert and secure tooling in machine turrets.
- Use hand tools and manual machines as needed to complete tasks and projects.
- Set up and verify preset gauges for proper calibration as required, and work with the supervisor, programmer, and support teams to resolve problem situations.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in CNC machining and manufacturing.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with setting up multi-axis machines and machining principles and methods for computer numerical controlled machine tools.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and blueprints in English, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to stand for 8 hours at a time.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, and a background check will be conducted prior to employment.
- Competitive hourly rate of $22-$28 per hour, depending on shift and experience.
