As the Sales Director for Cannatron, you will leverage your expertise in sales and organizational development to spearhead exciting new initiatives. These include expanding our outside sales presence, implementing customer recovery strategies, and growing new product segments in a unique, emerging, and rapidly expanding industry. You will have the opportunity to work directly with the founders of Ooze/Cannatron, as well as our Marketing leaders to deploy our vision to a growing team of Sales Account Managers as we continuously move towards our mission: OWN THE SHELF.


This role is on-site located in Oak Park, MI. Fully remote or hybrid schedules are not available.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Take a hands-on approach to truly understand our business, products, and sales operations at a very detailed level to ensure strategies are aligned with existing and next-level efforts.
  • Oversee the ongoing implementation and integration of Salesforce software, ensuring seamless adoption, customization, and utilization across the sales team to enhance sales processes and data-driven decision making.
  • Lead, guide, and coach a team of Sales Account Managers, establishing both short-term objectives and long-term goals while consistently monitoring and evaluating performance outcomes.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to build and manage additional high-performing sales teams.
  • Develop and implement proactive initiatives aimed at enhancing customer sales recovery strategies.
  • Motivate sales team towards accomplishing common goals. Promoting team effectiveness and cohesion.
  • Analyze product performance sales reports/data and implement plans to expand our sales and profitability across products and strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with product development, e-commerce, marketing, and other teams to align internal resources and roadmaps to support business development.
  • Seek and create opportunities to expand business with current customers, identifies further business needs and develops and presents solutions.
  • Actively engages as a "closer" as needed for Key Accounts, leveraging strategic negotiation skills and expertise to secure high-value deals and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Establish projections and KPIs to plan and lead regular business reviews (annual and quarterly) with sales team to ensure accountability and effectiveness.

Requirements :

  • Sales and leadership experience and relevant industry experience selling into retail/CPG industries preferred.
  • Degree in Business Administration (BA/MBA) is a plus but not required.
  • Experience building and developing a sales team.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen, with a passion for translating data into actionable strategies.
  • Skilled with Salesforce and ERP systems to document, enter, track and monitor sales and inventory.
  • Understanding of the general cannabis industry, products, and landscape a plus
  • Ability to travel occasionally out of state as needed.
  • Other PC Skills for tasks such as creating reports, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
