Sales & Marketing Representative (National Accounts)

Long-established global technology-based company is searching for a lubricant additives Sales & Marketing Representative for national accounts.
This is an immediate position available due to the retirement of a long-time employee. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining established customers (70% of the time), acquiring new accounts (30% of the time), determining strategic sales objectives, analyzing performance of distributors, contributing to new product launches, and analyzing market trends.
This individual will be responsible for selling acids and esters that are used in metalworking fluids and industrial lubricants.
This position involves nationwide coverage and will ideally be based within 1-2 hours of the Chicago metropolitan area. Approximately 20% travel.
The successful candidate will have solid sales and marketing experience in the lubricants industry. A background in coatings and personal care markets is a plus. A technical or business degree is preferred along with good knowledge of lubricant additive chemistry.
