General Responsibilities

  1. Represent Catholic Charities at outreach and community events/meetings.
  2. Coordinate in-kind donations, out-of-agency fundraisers/drives, and Undy Sunday.
  3. Conduct outreach at all Catholic Charities Mobile Food Pantry distributions.
  4. Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.

Essential Functions

  1. Conduct outreach at Mobile Food Pantry distributions and serve as the onsite Mobile Food Pantry manager when necessary.
  2. Ensure that all in-kind donations are accepted, processed, documented, and distributed according to Agency standards.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with in-kind donors.
  4. Demonstrate a high comfort level working with staff, volunteers, and donors.
  5. Meet regularly with the Division Director of Communications and Advancement concerning outreach and in-kind donations.
  6. Organize, consult, and advise donors on developing and implementing events and projects that benefit the Agency, including fundraisers, donation drives, etc.
  7. Comply with the department's applicable sections of all accreditation standards.
  8. Attend all Agency fundraising events and actively engage participants, especially those to whom they are assigned.
  9. Represent the Agency at functions and meetings, including but not limited to the local Chamber of Commerce meetings/events, church events/meetings (St. Vincent de Paul, CCW, Men’s Clubs, etc.), school boards, finance boards, civic club meetings, etc.
  10. Cultivate and engage new donors and volunteers.

Requirements:
  1. A Bachelor's degree in social work, community relations, communications, or another related field preferred; or equivalent work experience. All degrees must come from a regionally accredited educational institution with US Department of Education approval.
  2. Minimum of two (2) years of nonprofit work experience.
  3. Skilled, enthusiastic, and resourceful public speaker who demonstrates the ability to engage with others easily.
  4. Demonstrated ability to initiate, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key individuals for the benefit of the Agency.
  5. Results-driven, creative individual with proven capability to work independently in an organized, detail-oriented, and efficient manner in a multi-task, fast-paced team environment.
  6. Demonstrated ability to relate positively to other staff and outside contacts, including donors, clients, and volunteers, in a multicultural and diverse environment.
  7. Exceptional communicator with excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills; able to easily engage others.
  8. Passage of complete background clearance and physical.
  9. A valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation, and proof of liability insurance are required.
  10. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
