Job Description: Safety Compliance Associate
Department: Safety Job Status: Full-Time Reports to: Safety Manager
Monday - Friday | 7PM - 3:45AM | OT and Weekends as Needed.
Position Summary:
Works through Safety Manager, to ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures and to assist in the achievement of profitability/productivity requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assists, plans, and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT).
· Advises safety manager on safety compliance concerns and preventative actions.
· Assists with training for employees in work site safety practices.
· Helps in the maintaining of safety files and records
· Assist, set up and conducts training.
· Assists in the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs.
· Prefer experience in OSHA, MSHA, DOT and EPA regulatory requirements.
· Excellent Computer, communication, and training skills

Education and Experience:
· Associates degree from two-year college or university; or two years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to assist in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
· Must have acceptable current driver’s license
Computer Skills:
Computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Windows, HRIS systems, MS Office programs, and applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer.

Work Environment: Mazda Toyota manufacturing facility (MTM), located in Madison, AL. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently close to moving material handling equipment. The employee is occasionally exposed to spot weld and or projection weld fumes. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
