Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, revise, and enforce safety protocols and procedures, ensuring adherence by all levels of management
  • Train staff on safety regulations and expectations
  • Provide guidelines and standard operating procedures aimed at enhancing workplace safety
  • Oversee and maintain the OSHA 300 log
  • Examine, investigate, and document reports related to incidents and accidents, focusing on personal injury and property damage
  • Identify, coordinate, and implement necessary safety training, ensuring timely completion
  • Facilitate monthly safety meetings
  • Manage the company's return-to-work program, offering modified duties for injured employees when applicable
  • Collaborate with management to ensure timely completion of field toolbox discussions
  • Keep accurate records of toolbox discussions, safety inspections, audits, and required training sessions

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety-focused role is essential, ideally within the construction sector
  • First aid/CPR certification is required or must be obtained within the first six months of employment
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification is preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities
  • Capability to conduct training sessions for all employees across various roles
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
  • Proven leadership capabilities
