AGC, a well established Mechanical Contractor business entity is seeking a Project Coordinator Construction to join our fantastic team of professionals in our Campbell, CA location. This is a great growth opportunity and training is provided.

Position Summary:

The Project Coordinator applies technical and construction life-cycle knowledge to support project planning, scheduling, and completion. The Project Engineer assists in the interpretation and management of project critical documentation and information that flows to and from our office and field and building/facility owners, General Contractors, and consulting engineers and architects.

AGC's project are typically a subset of larger construction projects undertaken to erect, renovate or re-purpose buildings. The candidate will be exposed to mechanical construction for a wide variety of commercial projects such as health care, research, biotech, laboratories, and office buildings.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate construction plans, drawings, specifications, ITBs and other project documentation and information received from our design team and GCs
  • Assist in drafting bid proposals for scopes of work that describe project objectives, contractor responsibilities, technical details, deliverables, scheduling, and management
  • Assess, track and update project schedules and documents as needed
  • Ensure materials and equipment are released for fabrication in time for their delivery as required. Procure shop drawings, samples, and other submittals per the specs
  • Prepare technical RFI outlines for Project Manager's review. Manage and review General Contractors' formal responses to assess potential change orders
  • Create submittal packages for approval by General Contractors and oversee responses
  • Examine all construction drawings and specs for constructability, potential code violations, and advise the Project Superintendent of such issues.
  • Maintain project file system under the guidance of the Project Manager
  • Support project closeout including punch list preparation and assembly of closeout documentation and as-built drawings.
  • Aid in development of start-up test plans and commissioning and start-up of installed systems.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 1-3 years of full-time experience is desired
  • Proficiency in Windows operating system, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Flexible and adaptable with excellent organization and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment with a wide variety of people such as general contractors, sub-contractors, owners, architects, and engineers
