Responsibilities:
• Solicit information and pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare bid instructions, forms, and other solicitation documents.
• Conduct quantity surveys and manage pricing efforts for internal budgets.
• Develop conceptual budgets based on limited information.
• Review project-related documents such as general conditions, schedules, work scopes, and logistics.
• Document and maintain project information flow.
• Manage the review and scoping of specialty contractor bids.
• Keep abreast of construction and material cost trends.
• Analyze alternatives to determine the most economical options.
• Build effective relationships with customers, design teams, contractors, suppliers, and user groups.
• Engage in industry, client, and community relations to enhance company image.
• Participate in the transfer of information for successful projects.
• Assist in work plan preparation and review.
• Address issues proactively with creativity and discretion.
• Collaborate with project managers upon project award.

Qualifications:
• 2+ years of estimating experience in general construction, with a focus on projects ranging from $250k to $10M.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, ProEst, Excel).
• Ability to read and understand project plans, specifications, and other construction documents.
• Experience in resolving contract disputes and arranging order changes.
• Familiarity with various construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with various levels of personnel, management, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers.
• Willingness to attend pre-bid site meetings as needed.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
