Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
    • Coordinate with project superintendents, owners, engineers, and construction managers to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Estimating and Bidding
    • Accurately estimate project costs and develop pricing for RFPs, change orders, and other project-related documents.
    • Communicate effectively with project superintendents and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
  • Cost Management
    • Identify and manage project scope changes, ensuring accurate tracking of project costs and revenues.
    • Coordinate job set-up, cost codes, and reporting project costs to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Supervise and train project engineers and other related project staff to ensure project success.
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project goals are met.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving
    • Communicate effectively with owners, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
    • Proactively identify and address potential project challenges, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project timelines.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent required.
    • 5 years' experience in the construction industry required, with previous field experience and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
    • Strong leadership skills and complex problem-solving skills.
    • Competent use of MS Office and construction software skills.
