The Project Manager/Estimator is a key member of our team at The Beaver Companies, responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction project planning and execution. Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
- Coordinate with project superintendents, owners, engineers, and construction managers to ensure project objectives are met.
- Estimating and Bidding
- Accurately estimate project costs and develop pricing for RFPs, change orders, and other project-related documents.
- Communicate effectively with project superintendents and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
- Cost Management
- Identify and manage project scope changes, ensuring accurate tracking of project costs and revenues.
- Coordinate job set-up, cost codes, and reporting project costs to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Leadership and Team Management
- Supervise and train project engineers and other related project staff to ensure project success.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project goals are met.
- Communication and Problem-Solving
- Communicate effectively with owners, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
- Proactively identify and address potential project challenges, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project timelines.
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent required.
- 5 years' experience in the construction industry required, with previous field experience and supervisory experience preferred.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Strong leadership skills and complex problem-solving skills.
- Competent use of MS Office and construction software skills.
