An international Industrial Sealant / Adhesive company is seeking an Industrial Field Service Technician / Specialist to service new and existing equipment. This includes equipment installation and maintenance in our Hot Melt / Industrial Sealant line of business. This position will work out of the Charlotte, NC area.

 

This is a direct hire position with a salary between $67,000 with benefits based in Charlotte, NC. This position does require frequent travel and a company car is provided and all travel expenses are covered. Weekend hours are paid in addition to Salary.

 

Job Responsibilities • Installation of new equipment. • Service/ maintenance of customer equipment on site • Repair equipment in our workshop • Serve as an onsite manager representing the company during the installation. • Supervise and advise skilled tradesmen to construct and install all company supplied equipment. • Communicate and resolve issues to ensure successful sign off with customer is reached. • Provide exceptional customer service to new and existing customers. • Position requires mechanical, electrical and electronic knowledge and engineering skills to perform necessary service and instruct others on maintaining equipment. • Perform system audits of company and equipment. • Maintain detailed knowledge of company products and policies and follows procedures. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Meet KPI’s provided Education and Experience Requirements

 

• Must have associate degree or two-year technical certificate, or 3-5 years’ experience in lieu of degree/certificate. • 5+ years successful experience in industrial service or equipment installation is required. • 3+ years Field engineering experience • Very good Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills required. •

Ability to read electrical schematics. • Experience with pneumatics is also an advantage. • Management/ supervisor experience would also be an advantage. Skills and Abilities • Detail-oriented, self-motivated with strong communication skills • Proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic environment. • Experience with hot melt adhesives is preferred. • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

 

• Ability to travel, including overnight stays and weekend working as required. • Demonstrated ability to learn. • Must be flexible • Organizational skills • Able to work well in a team or solo. • Experience Working Conditions and Physical Demands

 

 

• This is an outside field environment. • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Travel Required - Estimated 75-85%

 

Package $67k per annum Overtime for weekend work 401k noncontributory at this stage. Health care provided with deductible and Co-pay Expenses submitted weekly paid bi-weekly Bi-weekly salary Company car

 

Must be willing to travel to Spain for training approx. up to 2 weeks.
