Client Advocate / Training Coordinator

Objectives of the position: To provide a professional and caring atmosphere focusing on clients’ parenting education and emotional support. Must exhibit active listening skills and handle all information with the highest regard to confidentiality. Strong attention to detail and time management is required. Oversee and develop training plans for staff, volunteers, and board members. Reports directly to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities:

Client Services

1.    Provide peer counseling and referral services for clients in the English Earn While You Learn (EWYL) program.

2.    Develops custom curriculum for clients for the 2-year parenting program.

3.    Organize and oversee special group classes.

4.    Maintain and update referral resources for client use.

5.     Evaluate, select, and maintain educational materials and resources for client use.

Administrative

1.    Oversee volunteers who serve as peer counselors/maintain monthly schedule.

2.    Oversee prayer intercessor schedule.

3.    Maintain client statistics including data entry.

4.    Vet external partners and maintain relationship with current partnerships.

5.    Oversees Hispanic (EWYL) Program.

6.    Supports and oversees volunteers in Columbia center.

7.    Communicate weekly updates to Executive Director

Training

1.    Creates training plans for staff, board, and volunteers. Oversees completion of training program.

2.    Reviews new policies, procedures, & training offerings from CareNet, Heartbeat, Bright Course and NIFLA. 

Community:

1.    Assists Executive Director in overseeing fundraising projects/supports BB Campaign with churches and community.

2.    Oversees incoming donations and reports center needs.

3.    Involved in community outreach projects.

 REQUIREMENTS:                                                                                                  

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and car insurance. Proficiency in e-mail, Word, MS Office Applications and Google Platform. Use of internal CRM system.. Agreement with the PCofMT mission and faith statements and the CareNet Commitment of Care and Competence. Background Check

 QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates/bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Psychology, HR, Social Services, Education, or Counseling
  • 2 or more years of experience in nonprofit, ministry, social work, or education.

Position Status & Schedule:

Status:  Part-time

Hours:  (9 AM – 4 PM)

o    Monday (Remote)

o    Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - Columbia Center

 Location:  Columbia, Tennessee

 Travel:  None

Compensation: $40,000.00
Benefits:  Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, Paid Sick Days
