As an Organizational Change Management (OCM) Consultant, you will need to be passionate about helping clients solve and implement complex challenges and supporting them through their critical transformations. The ideal candidate will be motivated and comfortable with being a self-starter, have exceptional project management experience managing their own time effectively and efficiently, and working independently, while also excelling in a collaborative team environment.

 

The primary focus of the OCM Consultant is to focus on the people impacts of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organizational structures. This position will support large scale projects, partner with team lead regularly to discuss findings, provide recommendations, analyze data and report on project activities. As an OCM Consultant, you will use data-driven solutions to address the factors affecting an organization’s ability to reach its strategic objectives and ensure adoption. Responsibilities include:

  • Apply a structured change management approach and methodology for the people impacts of change caused by process and technology implementations.
  • Support multiple teams within the different phase of OCM activities and recommend solutions to reduce resistance with adoption.
  • Support development of and implementation of change management plans that minimize employee resistance, maximize employee engagement and business value.
  • Support development of an actionable and targeted change management activities including providing input into communication plan, sponsor roadmap, stakeholder assessment, training plan and resistance management plan.
  • Apply various tools to assess the impact(s) of change within an organization and individuals and develop strategies and recommendations to support process change.
  • Conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results, and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Create high impact presentations that align with organizational objectives and branding guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough reviews to ensure all deliverables are error-free, visually consistent, and aligned with objectives.
  • Support facilitation of client facing workshops and/or design sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with the Change Management team to continually develop and improve the processes and output.
  • Support current and future business development efforts.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) Degree in Organizational Behavior, Psychology, or other Business, Social science field with relevant coursework in organizational behavior and/or Industrial Psychology
  • 5 to 10+ years of relevant professional work experience (client-facing environments and federal government experience preferred).
  • Experience with large-scale organization change management efforts, preferred.
  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process; certification and experience with Prosci ADKAR® Model is a plus 
  • Must have experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Ability to work at all levels in the organization and influence others toward a common vision or goal
  • Ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences with a focus on relevancy and positive behavioral change
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills in the English language
  • Advanced skill and proficiency with MS Office Suite to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and related tools
