As a Technical Support Rep, you will be responsible for documenting and troubleshooting inbound trouble tickets related to the CreditSoft and CollectPlus applications. Issues can be related to the application (Windows and Web platforms) but also to the operating system, network, and database (SQL Server) at the customer site. We do not support the Customer’s hardware or software other than our applications, but we must still identify where the problem comes from.
All troubleshooting is done remotely from our main office.

During your technical support rep, training you would work alongside one of our senior reps. Once you are familiar with the system, you would also help handle inbound calls or emails for Sales and Training in addition to Support. This means researching and answering questions about the product, and eventually _ doing demos and training sessions_.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of TSQL (at least 1 year experience)(SQL Queries, stored procedures, table functions, triggers, etc.)
  • SQL Admin (1 Year Experience)
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to provide extensive technical support to both end users and technical staff utilizing client/server applications.
  • Knowledge of basic Windows settings and configuration
  • Fluent in English and a clear voice.
  • Comfortable speaking with a headset for extended periods of time.

Pluses:

  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish).
  • Prior experience with in person, phone-based, and/or internet-based technical training and support.
  • Background in the Credit Counseling, Debt Settlement, or Debt Collection industries.

Technical Skills Pluses:

These are not required, but are skills that will help you at your job

  • Knowledge of Windows Server configuration, network configuration and firewall
  • Knowledge of SQL Server (latest version) database technology. Familiarity with queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers and views.
  • Basic ability to troubleshoot database performance and locking issues. We can train you to become better at this if your troubleshooting skills are limited.
  • Ability to perform general database administration tasks such as backup and recovery, and database maintenance planning. This is something we can train you on as well, if your current skills are limited.
  • Familiarity with Internet Information Services (IIS) and SQL Reporting Services.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server configuration and network administration

This is a hybrid location job. You will be required to come into the office on specified days, but you will also be able to work remotely on the days you do not need to come in.
