Citadel Roofing and Solar is looking for a Jr. Safety Inspector to join our stellar Safety Team. This is an entry-level position where we are willing to train the right person.

Safety plays a very crucial and important role in our organization and mindset we take pride in. We take a positive approach to safety and our goal is to have an industry-leading safety program. At the end of the day, our goal is for our employees go home safely to their families every night. Our Safety Inspectors play a very integral part in achieving this goal.

The corporate office is based in Vacaville, CA, however, the Safety Inspector’s territory of job sites will run through Orange County to Palm Springs area and down to San Diego (including areas in between, as needed).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily jobsite audits to ensure employees are working safely.
  • Take pictures of safe and unsafe activities.
  • Document and record unsafe activities.
  • Other responsibilities:
    • May assist in other aspects of the Safety Department duties, as needed.

Required Skills

  • Experience not required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Must be comfortable of heights, climbing ladders and being on the roof (only as needed).
  • Previous safety not required.
  • Easy to get along with others.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Daily travel in a company vehicle is required (road warrior).
  • Must be flexible.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
