TRC/PSEG Long Island DMP Field Inspector: Start Your Career in Energy Efficiency

Starting Pay: $60k-$63k

Position Overview: Launch your career in the energy efficiency industry with the TRC/PSEG Long Island Demand Management Program (DMP) as a Field Inspector This entry-level role offers the opportunity to work on impactful commercial and residential projects that drive energy savings and sustainability. Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that energy efficiency measures are correctly installed and fully operational, both pre- and post-installation.

What You'll Do:

  • Inspect Energy Efficiency Projects: Conduct thorough pre- and post-installation inspections for commercial and residential projects, ensuring all work complies with TRC/PSEG Long Island guidelines.
  • Boost Customer Experience: Your keen eye for detail ensures customers receive timely and accurate inspections, enhancing their overall experience.
  • Identify Opportunities: Spot additional energy-saving measures during inspections and contribute to making projects even more efficient.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all installations meet industry standards, safety protocols, and program requirements. Bring essential tools like ladders, computers, and safety equipment to every job.
  • Deliver Program Information: Serve as a key liaison, delivering promotional materials and program details to customers and partners.

Location Requirement: Candidates must live in Nassau County, Long Island, NY, or within a 25-mile radius of the Nassau County border.

What You Bring:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of experience in energy efficiency projects. Certifications in Building Performance Institute (BPI) are a plus.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and Dynamics.
  • Independence & Time Management: Ability to manage your time effectively while working independently in the field.
  • Professionalism: A polished appearance and demeanor, along with reliable transportation and a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passion for learning new skills and advancing your career in energy efficiency.
  • BPI certifications are highly valued.
