Position Overview:

The Site Construction Manager will report directly to the VP of Construction and will oversee all facets of construction at the designated project site. Key responsibilities encompass collaborating closely with the Construction Manager and the VP of Construction to establish and clarify scopes of work, monitor the project budget, and ensure adherence to the project timeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all subcontractors on-site and supervise daily construction activities, including scheduling, inspections, quality assurance, safety protocols, budget monitoring, and accountability for all related costs.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to secure utilities, permits, plan reviews, and Certificates of Occupancy, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained.
  • Direct and manage subcontractors and team members effectively.
  • Provide regular written reports and updates on scheduling.
  • Assess situations and make informed decisions independently.
  • Implement OSHA safety regulations across the site.
  • Understand and apply SWPPP requirements to minimize community impact.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment consistently.
  • Engage positively with others, demonstrating skills in negotiation, instruction, supervision, and effective communication.
  • Influence team members positively and consistently.
  • Make informed evaluations and decisions without immediate oversight.
  • Accept and fulfill responsibilities for direction, control, and planning.
  • Participate in company-sponsored events aimed at team development, which may occasionally require overnight travel.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in construction supervision.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the construction of affordable multi-family residential projects.
  • Experience collaborating with city and other inspectors on construction initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Higher education or technical training is advantageous.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Physical stamina for standing and walking.
  • Capability to push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Comfortable with crawling and kneeling.
  • Ability to twist and carry items.
  • Proficient in manual tasks.
  • Driving may be required.
  • Competence in operating computers and office equipment.
