About the Role
The Project Engineer/Procore Specialist will work closely with the Vice Presidents of Construction and Construction Managers, playing a vital role in all stages of construction projects. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth execution of construction administration tasks, including:
  • Design development and pre-construction activities
  • Bidding and contracting processes
  • Submittals and budget reconciliation
  • Project closeout procedures

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Vice Presidents, Construction Managers, and Superintendents throughout all phases of construction.
- Conduct research and coordinate special projects as assigned.
- Prepare reports for the Construction Department as needed.
- Develop and manage standard operating procedures for Procore.
- Oversee daily Procore operations, including user permissions and company directory management.
- Collaborate with the Accounting Department to enhance workflow efficiencies.
- Ensure that construction budgets and actual expenditures are accurately reflected in the system.
- Schedule and organize meetings as required.
- Participate in company-sponsored events and educational activities.
- Attend design meetings, documenting notes and following up on assigned tasks.
- Assist with permit applications and fee payments.
- Review project plans and communicate findings to the Vice Presidents and Construction Managers.
- Create and review trade-specific scopes of work.
- Manage bid packages on Procore and liaise with subcontractors regarding proposals.
- Organize and present subcontractor proposals to the Vice Presidents and Construction Managers.
- Work closely with Contracts, Vice Presidents, and Construction Managers to finalize contracts and purchase orders.

Collaboration with Accounting
- Ensure the accuracy of financial draws.
- Make necessary budget adjustments.
- Track the timing of financial draws.

Coordination with Subcontractors
- Verify timely billing and lien releases.
- Ensure prompt receipt of payments.
- Conduct regular project site inspections.
- Assist in tracking and processing change orders.
- Collaborate with Vice Presidents, Construction Managers, and Superintendents on submittals.
- Review and process submittals, ensuring timely approvals.

Project Closeout
- Create comprehensive closeout packages, including As-builts, Closeout Binder, Notice of Completion, and Certificate of Occupancy.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess 1-3 years of experience in the construction industry, along with the following skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
- Familiarity with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Bluebeam, and Procore.
- Ability to follow instructions and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Capable of performing complex and repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player with the initiative to drive projects forward.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Capable of standing, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, and driving.
- Proficient in operating computers and office equipment.
