Job DescriptionJob Description

The Production Supervisor performs the daily operations to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Focuses on execution of activities covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Facilitates the daily activities related to the manufacture of components and/or finished products to meet delivery schedules and revenue goals.

Responsibilities:
• Maintains a safe environment, productive, and effective team through the proper training and engagement
• Leads and Supervises employees to ensures safety, quality, cost and delivery targets are met daily
• Ensures shift is started promptly by checking material readiness and suitability for use, aligning resources to meet the production plan, ensuring equipment is functional, PMs are completed timely, and calibrations are up-to-date
• Manages and expedites work activities as necessary to keep production unit operational at all times; removes all barriers
• Escalates issues promptly when production plan is not being achieved
• Plan, assign and direct work. Provide direction to the team in their daily tasks to meet production
• Ensures material transactions are promptly inputted into Oracle/ERP and physically moves materials
• Coordinates and ensures 3x3 training Train all departmental employees
• Performs regular employee evaluations
• Represent department within meetings, committees and teams as required
• Leads department Safety Huddles and team meetings on a regular basis
• Ensures complete and accurate documentation on appropriate paperwork as required.
• Ensures the completion of each machine/equipment changeover is efficient and to standard.
• Resolves equipment malfunctions and breakdowns

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong Microsoft Office skills – particularly excel and outlook.
• Excellent Leadership Skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication Skills required.
• Ability to interpret schematics, drawings or work instructions.
• Electronics production & Manufacturing Experience preferred.
• Strong management and leadership skills and demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse group of employees.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental practices and regulations.
• Strong organizational skills, including a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong initiative and accountability to follow up and follow through on tasks to completion.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and best practices.
• Strong internal personal skills able to foster productive working relationships.
• Must be able to simultaneously manage several objectives.
• Ability to handle complex situations and solve complex problems.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-30 pounds.
• Strong knowledge & experience of Six Sigma, lean principles, and other process improvement tools (Highly desirable).


Experience: 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience in a high mix/low volume environment; Prior experience with managing and leading people (highly desirable).

Additional Requirement:  Able to work flex hours to support 2nd Shift

Education: Associate degree (or equivalent) in engineering, business or related field preferred. Experience may be substituted for Degree.

Security: US citizen or permanent resident required. May be required to obtain a security clearance.
