Job Overview

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the activities of warehouse personnel within the Shipping Department. This position ensures that order selection and associated shipping tasks are executed efficiently and effectively. The supervisor is responsible for monitoring work processes and maintaining a safe environment for all team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist team members in the prompt and precise assembly of customer orders, preparing them for shipment.
  • Foster a professional atmosphere in interactions with team members, other departments, and external customers.
  • Direct daily operations to guarantee a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Enhance productivity levels by improving processes and the efficiency of department personnel.
  • Communicate, apply, and enforce company policies related to operations, safety, and administration.
  • Maximize quality and productivity by understanding company expectations and aiding the Warehouse Manager in assessing performance variances to identify root causes and corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in warehousing is required; prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 60-75 lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation throughout the shift.
  • Capability to work regularly at heights of up to 26 feet above ground (with provided safety equipment/processes/training).
  • Self-starter with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using AS400 and strong PC skills in Word and Excel.
  • Ability to effectively plan workload and staff assignments.
