Under direct supervision from the Operating Site Director, the Field Training and Development Manager will perform the following functions:Develop, support, and improve Houston and overall AYW program effectiveness through effective training and management of field staff and member training curriculum delivery; Develop and maintain site-specific field-related training materials and curriculum and incorporate agency-wide training standards in collaboration with staff at all AYW site locations.Provide training and oversight to field staff to ensure that all program activities and related project tracking and program documentation are completed accurately and in a timely fashion;Provide training and support to field staff to ensure understanding of the relationship between program compliance requirements, procedures, and documentation so they are able to support staff managing compliance and effectively prioritize their administrative duties.Train field staff in effectively communicating and reinforcing the connection between the tasks members perform and the applications to their professional development and program operations (i.e., maintaining accurate documentation, administrative and safety procedures, completing timesheets, project work, communication with project partners, staff and crew members, Incident Reports,etc.).Conduct ongoing assessment and identification of Houston staff and member field-related training needs, and develop and maintain resources, partnerships, and schedules for addressing needs in coordination with Houston Site Development Manager and professional development training and workshops.Become a certified instructor in First Aid, CPR and Wilderness First Aid to enable you to train and certify staff and participantsBecome licensed/maintain license for Texas Non-Commercial Herbicide Application to train and oversee staff and participants needing to utilize herbicide for program-related project workCollaborate with Site Development Manager and Safety Coordinator to ensure Site and Field Safety protocols are successfully implemented with staff and members and ensure Field-specific safety needs are met and protocols are up to dateAttend virtual and in-person training for continued education and professional development to ensure the program is responsive to community and environmental career needs and field staff and members are fully supported, as needed, and available.Collaborate with other CC staff at all sites, as needed, to enhance and execute staff and member training and development through providing feedback and leading meetings, curriculum development, and training.Identify, develop, and establish new project partnerships in alignment with the programmatic needs and capabilities:Research and identify new regional partnerships for partner cost-share projects and potential funding opportunities and in-kind support to assist with partner cost-share and field-related equipment needsCoordinate projects with new and potential project partners, which include:developing project partner agreements,conducting initial site visits,initial scheduling timelines and logistics planning for hand-off to field staff,communicating expectations to partner and field staff for implementationProvide oversight and effectively communicate project scheduling parameters and any relevant time-sensitive details and deadlines to the field and other staff responsible for daily scheduling and project implementation;
