Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced EMS Training Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive EMS training program that meets departmental needs and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Design and implement a comprehensive EMS training program that meets departmental needs and regulatory standards.
- Training Delivery: Conduct regular training sessions and simulations to ensure EMS staff are proficient in medical procedures and emergency response.
- Evaluation and Improvement: Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust strategies for continuous improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry best practices and legislation related to emergency medical services.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with EMS leadership to identify training priorities and initiatives.
- Certification and Compliance: Manage certification processes for EMS personnel according to regulatory requirements.
- Training Budget and Procurement: Supervise the EMS training budget and procurement of materials.
- Mentorship and Support: Provide mentorship and support to EMS staff for professional development.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance EMS services.
- Currently certified as a Nationally Registered Paramedic with at least 5 years of EMS experience and 2 years in EMS Education.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering EMS training programs.
- Preferred certifications in various life support programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Services, Education, or related field.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proficiency in relevant Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to perform all assigned duties, including physically demanding training activities.
- Ability to pass required physical and dental exams.
- Work schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid U.S. passport required.
- Minimum of two 12-hour paramedic shifts monthly.
- Travel to Qatar for training as necessary.
