THE POSITION
The Distribution & International Sales Specialist manages Allparts’ roster of international dealers and distributors. The ideal candidate is highly-motivated, sales-minded, systems savvy, administratively competent and passionate about “tone” and guitar parts. Experienced in sales, account management and relationship building, the Distribution & International Sales Specialist will fulfill our mission to ensure retailers, manufacturers, and artists around the world have access to high-quality parts for repairs, upgrades and instrument production.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works to increase product representation and revenue outside the United States.
- Proactively presents New Product introductions and tracks market penetration.
- Encourages accounts to use our new product launch collateral as part of their product presentation and market introduction.
- Performs assortment reviews for key accounts to highlight missed opportunities and to notify accounts of discontinuations.
- Manages order-entry, order-confirmations, pick-releases, return-requests, and customer service inquiries.
- Builds productive relationships with assigned accounts and holds regular Teams meetings with key players.
- Reports around channel health, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and global or regional circumstances that could impact business.
- Contributes to overall channel strategy and development of best-practices relating to channel management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior international sales experience – preferably in the musical instrument industry.
- Extensive order-management and sales reporting experience. Prior NetSuite experience preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel highly preferred.
- Attention to detail, obvious enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.
- Aspirations to be a resource and known figure within the global guitar parts community.
- Experience building and/or modifying guitars, basses, mandolins, or banjos strongly preferred.
- Conversationally fluent in Spanish, Japanese, French or German would be a plus.
INDIVIDUAL REQUIREMENTS
- Self-starter. Self-motivated. Driven to succeed.
- Ability to work in the USA without sponsorship
- Preferably located in Houston but may consider ideal remote candidates.
Must pass a background check.
