Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Overview: We seek a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Receiving Clerk. As a Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in our company's supply chain management by ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt of incoming shipments. Your primary responsibility will be to inspect, record, and process all received goods, ensuring they meet quality standards and match purchase orders. The Receiving Clerk will work closely with the warehouse team and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely transfer of products and materials.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Receive and inspect incoming shipments:
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments by comparing items received to packing lists and against purchase orders.
  • Inspect the condition of packages, ensuring they are not damaged or compromised during transit.
  • Report any discrepancies or damages immediately.
  1. Record and document received goods:
  • Accurately record and document received goods into the inventory management system.
  • Label and tag received items.
  1. Assist in inventory management:
  • Conduct periodic inventory checks to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate with the purchasing department to replenish inventory.
  • Assist in maintaining a well-organized and clean receiving area.
  1. Follow safety protocols:
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while handling incoming shipments.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management systems a plus.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy packages, if required.
