For those seeking stability, the part-time role offers opportunity to grow into full-time employment which consists of four days a week, with each shift spanning 10 hours.

Casa de Amparo is always looking for qualified candidates to fill open shifts. While we may not always have an open shift, we are constantly reviewing eligible resumes when we do have hiring opportunities. The following times are shifts created by Casa de Amparo for it's team members:

Morning/AM Shift: 6:00am-4:00pm
Evening/PM Shift: 2:00pm-12:00am/midnight
Overnight/ON Shift: 9:00pm-7:00am the following day

Orientation Requirements:
During the first two weeks of employment, the employee will attend New Hire Orientation (NHO) with the following schedule expectations:
Day 1: 9am-5pm
Day 2-3: 10am-6pm
Day 4-9: 9am-5pm
Following the completion of orientation and required trainings, the employee will resume their normal schedule.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be in accordance with Casa de Amparo through Community Care Licensing (CCL), which includes clearance by FBI, DOJ, and CACI.
  • Must be able to meet one of the following three requirements:
    • One year of full-time experience working OR volunteering in a residential treatment program OR
    • Be in possession of a bachelor's degree OR
    • Have at least 12 units (credits) in human development, child development, psychology, or related subject AND 100 hours of experience working with youth.
  • Must possess maturity, good judgement and the ability to be a positive role model for youth ages 0-18 years old.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work shifts up to 10 hours in length.
  • Must have ambulatory, auditory and visual skills to observe and physically intervene with residents when required.
  • Must be physically able to participate in activities and perform related physical skills, including, but not limited to, crouching, lifting 50 pounds, crawling on hands and knees, and walking up and down stairs.
  • Ability to comply with all employment requirements including, but not limited to:
    • CPR/ Pediatric First Aid
    • Physical, tuberculosis and drug screen clearance
    • Clear DMV record and approval from insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles
  • Must provide proof of immunization against influenza, pertussis, and measles.
  • English proficient (bilingual and bi-cultural preferred)
