Miami Regional University (MRU) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Registrar to join our team. This position is critical for the accurate compilation, maintenance, and tracking of student academic records for both internal and external uses. The Assistant Registrar will collaborate closely with the Senior Registrar to ensure the integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance of all student records with Federal, state, and accreditation regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure duties and responsibilities align with MRU’s Mission and Vision.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records, adhering to FERPA and other relevant regulations.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate all functions and services of the Registrar’s office, including procedures, processes, and computer systems.
- Administer and develop systems to maintain student academic records.
- Interpret academic rules and regulations, monitor student academic progress, and manage probation and honors lists.
- Assist with graduate and transcript processing and provide academic information for graduation clearance.
- Respond to inquiries regarding academic performance and resolve issues related to student records.
- Create and maintain class rosters and accurately record attendance in CampusVue.
- Run and reconcile various attendance and academic reports.
- Maintain grades and disseminate information to supervisors.
- Process student status changes and manage class schedules and student registrations.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with academic file documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with all departments to maintain consistent processes and standards for student records.
- Ensure the accuracy and security of official student records.
- Participate in professional development activities and serve on committees as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related program preferred
- Minimum of 3 years related work experience
- Strong experience in records management
- Strong computer skills (PC)
- Experience with CampusVue (Anthology) software desirable
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Team player
- Ethical, with a high level of personal integrity
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work successfully on several projects simultaneously
