The Sr. Program Coordinator provides administrative support to faculty and acts as a liaison between faculty, students, and other University departments.

Works closely with students to continuously evaluate their learning experience and improve quality and value of the program. Assists with the development of strategic partnerships with external entities and organizations. Assists with database maintenance. Ensures administrative processes and associated forms for instructor services are completed in a timely manner. Responds to various instructor requests and telephone, email, and internet submissions for all programs. Tracks and reports changes in adjunct faculty shifts for proper payroll for the program. Plans and participates in open houses for the department. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards SONHS and University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Certification and Licensing:

N/A

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

  • Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).

Department Specific Functions

  • Provides routine and general administrative support to the Associate Dean by planning, prioritizing, and scheduling meetings and appointments; and makes decisions on a daily basis regarding their calendar and travel arrangements.
  • Consolidates the school's master schedule in order to ensure timely and accurate information on CaneLink, 25 Live, EMS as well as keep the Budget Director informed of any changes for faculty assignments.
  • Provides excellent customer service and resolves student and clinical faculty issues such as enrollment and makeups of clinical absences in a timely fashion.
  • Works closely with the Office of Student Services, the Department of Classroom Management and the Registrar's office to resolve any issues regarding undergraduate courses, room assignments and issues with 25Live for SONHS.
  • Maintains a database of available temporary faculty that can be called upon to teach.
  • Completes special projects or assignments as required by the Associate Dean of Nursing Undergraduate Programs, which may include coordination of special events such as clinical assignments, arranging orientation for clinical faculty, facilitating parking, and ordering food for events.
  • Submits Incident Report forms to clinical faculty when an incident happens and ensures that the Department of Risk Management receives pertinent and timely information for processing, follows up to ensure process is complete.
  • Manages all program materials by processing, printing, and storing of case reports, case conferences, classroom materials, and clinical schedules.
  • Arranges the logistics of all undergraduate nursing exams (NCLEX, HESI) such as ordering review textbook, case studies, requesting exams etc.
