Job Summary:
The Front Office Manager will plan and oversee the hotel's Front Desk/Office operations at the Element Tukwila hotel to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new front desk staff
• Oversees the day-to-day operations and Front Desk staffing of the hotel
• Provides constructive and routine performance feedback for his direct reports
• Handles discipline and termination of Front Office employees as needed and in accordance with hotel policy
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Direct operations at the front desk and ensure customer service meets our high standards for guest satisfaction
• Hire, train, and supervise front office employees, ensuring they provide excellent guest service and enforce hotel policies
• Coordinates with other departments to ensure successful hotel operations
• Determines labor needs to meet labor budget goals of the front office department
• Handles the front office budget and orders operating supplies as needed
• Performs other related duties as required by GM
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent managerial and supervisory skills
• Extensive knowledge of hotel front desk operations and labor management
• Ability to interpret financial data as needed to achieve department goals
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma preferred
• At least 2 years of work experience in Front Office Management as a Front Desk Supervisor, Assistant Front Office Manager, or similar position in the hospitality industry
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift.
• Must be able to access and navigate the facility.
• Employees are required to adhere to safety requirements by wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Work is routine and repetitive in nature and may require strenuous physical exertion at times, including the ability to move objects weighing up to 50lbs.
The schedule is based on the business/operational demands of the hotel & Front Office department. (Depending on department staffing needs, must be flexible to cover AM, PM, & Overnight shifts, as needed.)
