Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team at our Bowie, MD, location. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish and able to effectively communicate with our diverse, predominantly Spanish-speaking patient base. You will play a crucial role in providing administrative support, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Patient Communication: Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries in both English and Spanish, ensuring clear and professional communication.
- Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate with patients to set up and schedule optimal appointment times, considering their availability and medical needs.
- Patient Information Management: Gather, organize, and input patient medical information into the eClinicalWorks system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Insurance Processing: Inquire about and process patients' health insurance information, verifying coverage and handling any necessary documentation.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative and secretarial support to the office, assisting with various tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate with the internal office team and healthcare providers to ensure patients receive the best care and that everyday tasks are completed efficiently.
- HIPAA Compliance: Understand and maintain HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.
- Clinical Support: Perform vital signs checks, patient intake, draw labs, conduct urinalysis, and assist with in-office procedures.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with education and information regarding their care, treatment plans, and follow-up procedures.

Qualifications:

- Fluent in English and Spanish, speaking and listening.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Proficient in using eClinicalWorks or similar Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- A valid certification or diploma as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
