Role Responsibilities:

As a vital member of our wellness team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Clinical Assistance: Monitor and record clients' vital signs, ensuring they remain within normal ranges, and promptly report any irregularities to the medical staff.
  • Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications as directed by the healthcare provider under the supervision of nursing staff, ensuring precision and safety.
  • Client Engagement: Provide exceptional customer service with professional communication skills, strong typing abilities, and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • EMR Management: Accurately document client information and treatment details in our EMR system, facilitating seamless communication within the care team.
  • Appointment Coordination: Assist clients in scheduling appointments, ensuring clear and friendly communication for a smooth process.
  • Facility Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms between appointments and at the end of the day, upholding high hygiene standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities and prioritize tasks based on patient and center needs, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Team Collaboration: Be an active team player, ready to assist healthcare providers and nursing staff with various tasks as needed while effectively managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Bilingual Communication: Utilize your bilingual skills to communicate effectively with both English and Spanish-speaking clients, ensuring they feel understood and supported throughout their visit.

Candidate Profile:

  • Completion of post-secondary education, including certification as a Medical Assistant.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical environment.
  • Current certification in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills and experience with intravenous (IV) catheter insertion.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing needs.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position, Tuesday to Saturday.
  • Availability to work every other weekend is required.
  • Flexibility to work between various locations based on daily requirements.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Nurse Practitioner/Practice Administrator.
