Position Overview
As a Medical Assistant with their weight loss company, you will play a crucial role in supporting their patients on their journey to improved health and wellbeing. You will work closely with our healthcare providers to provide exceptional patient care, assist with medical procedures, and perform various administrative tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of their patients and contribute to the success of their innovative weight loss programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including vital signs, medical history, and documentation.
  • Administer injections, medications, and other treatments as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Perform basic medical procedures such vital signs, blood pressure checks, temperature, and pulse.
  • Educate patients on medications, procedures, lifestyle modifications and self-care techniques to support their weight loss goals.
  • Provide compassionate and supportive care to patients throughout their weight loss journey.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical equipment.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, answering phones, and other administrative duties as needed.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and program coordination.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities to enhance job knowledge and skills.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role, completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting.
  • Ability to perform basic life support techniques.
  • Proficient in accurately taking vital signs and recording patient information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and colleagues in a personable and professional manner.
  • Proactively identifies and addresses challenges, demonstrating a strong ability to take initiative in advancing tasks or resolving issues efficiently.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develop proficiency in administering injections and taking patients blood pressure.
  • Passion for promoting health and wellness and supporting individuals in achieving their weight loss goals.


Compensation:

The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.

The posted hourly range for this position takes into account various factors, including the candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations. Additionally, the salary offered within this range may be subject to a geographic adjustment, based on a specific city and state, and depending on the role. This adjustment would occur if authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.

Schedule:
This position does not require a weekend work schedule.

Work Setting:
This position requires on-site presence at the clinic.
