Our client is seeking a dynamic and effective leader to join their team as a Manufacturing Manager. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work for a tenured, Iowa-based company, renowned for its commitment to quality and innovation in the manufacturing sector. The Manufacturing Manager will oversee the production process, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and quality. This role requires a strong leader and communicator who can inspire and develop their team, manage labor and budget, and work collaboratively with other departments to support production and quality goals. Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and lead a team of manufacturing employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance
  • Develop strong relationships with employees, ensuring they receive effective training and support to excel in their roles
  • Oversee and coordinate the production process to meet company goals and customer demands
  • Identify and implement processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality within the manufacturing operations
  • Manage labor and production budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations
  • Work effectively with other departments, such as Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, to support and enhance production activities
  • Utilize ERP systems to manage production processes
  • Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and layouts to ensure accurate assembly and production
  • Leverage experience in automotive, machinery, or equipment assembly to enhance production quality and efficiency
  • Assess costs and make sound management decisions based on financial analysis
  • Maintain an organized approach to managing multiple tasks and priorities

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing management role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience with budget management and cost control
  • Knowledge of efficiency improvement processes and techniques
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
  • Experience in automotive, machinery, or equipment assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and layouts
  • Financial background to assess costs and make informed decisions
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks
