1. Developing Sales Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies
to drive revenue growth and meet or exceed sales targets for the select service hotel.
2. Sales Planning and Execution: Plan and execute sales activities including prospecting,
lead generation, sales calls, site inspections, and client meetings to maximize revenue
opportunities.
3. Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients,
travel agencies, event planners, and other key accounts to drive repeat business and
secure new opportunities.
4. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends,
opportunities, and competitive threats, and utilize findings to adjust sales strategies
accordingly.
5. Proposal and Contract Negotiation: Prepare and present compelling proposals,
negotiate contracts, and close sales agreements to ensure profitable business
relationships.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations,
and revenue management to align sales strategies with overall business objectives and
maximize profitability.
7. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular sales reports and analysis to track
performance against targets, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven
recommendations.
8. Customer Service Excellence: Ensure exceptional customer service standards are
maintained at all times to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
9. Networking and Industry Engagement: Represent the hotel at industry events, trade
shows, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and establish strategic
partnerships.
Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or
related field.
 Minimum of 3-4 years of progressive experience in hotel sales, with a proven track
record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
 Strong understanding of the select service hotel market, including key competitors,
market trends, and customer preferences.
 Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
 Proficiency in sales CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
 Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
 Flexibility to travel as required.
 Certification in Sales or Hospitality Management (preferred).
 Important: Must be able to relocate to Kansas City, MO.
