Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for parts of the financial, planning, and implementation processes related to building construction of multiple projects. This type of construction worker must support the superintendents and project managers by overseeing parts of the building process, tracking expenditures, control the budget, and sometimes supervise scheduling.

Duties & Responsibilities: (responsibilities and abilities include but are not limited to the list below. Other duties may be assigned)

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate project plans, budgets, and timelines for assigned projects
  • Compile and coordinate all phases of construction projects including pre-construction meetings, site surveys, permit and license applications, design and documentation, material procurement, contract labor requirements, and project start
  • Coordinate logistics of pre-bid, bid submittals, supporting bid documents and tracking responses
  • Create cost estimates for new projects, monitor job costs, evaluate change orders and control the cost of work in progress to budget
  • Facilitate project billing and invoicing for approval process
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards related to projects.
  • Review and analyze project documentation, including blueprints, specifications, and contracts, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and maintain project reports, including progress updates, budget tracking, and documentation of any changes or deviations from the original plan.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and ensure that design specifications are met during the construction phase.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or queries
  • Other duties as assigned to successfully meet project deadlines to achieve customer satisfaction

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office, MS Project, and have the ability to learn new software as needed
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
  • Handle multiple tasks and responsibilities as well as adapt to change
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills demonstrating ability to communicate effectively with a diverse team and individuals
  • Highly organized, motivated, and able to work independently with the ability to set and achieve goals
  • Be customer service oriented
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent desired
  • 3 years of experience in an administrative support role within a construction setting and have extensive applicable knowledge of construction procedures
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is desired
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, background check, hold a valid driver’s license with clean MVR record, and sign a non-compete agreement.

Travel Required:

Frequent travel to project sites and meetings with clients and teams

Travel within the state of New Mexico when required
