Position: Construction Project Coordinator

Location: Albuquerque, NM

The Construction Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing various elements of construction projects. This includes managing invoicing, vendor payments, schedule adherence, and budget oversight while maintaining effective communication with clients. A high level of professionalism, organization, and collaboration with both clients and team members is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all contractual documentation, including subcontract agreements, change orders, and material purchase orders.
  • Assess and validate invoices from external vendors.
  • Track project financials, comparing planned costs against actual expenditures and monitoring job progress relative to billing.
  • Review customer billing stipulations within contracts and complete necessary documentation.
  • Ensure the integrity of project files by confirming the collection of all essential documents (e.g., bonds, insurance, signed subcontracts) and maintaining project specifications and safety plans.
  • Authenticate project field reports.
  • Collaborate with accounts payable, subcontractors, accounts receivable, and relevant state agencies for tax, government reporting, and wage-related matters.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in project management is preferred.
  • Possession of a GB98 contractor's license is advantageous.
  • Experience with Federal Government construction contracts is highly regarded, though not mandatory for consideration.
  • Proficient in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Skilled in using spreadsheets and project management software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational capabilities.
  • Strong team player with self-motivation and a quick learning aptitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in digital communication tools, including MS Office products and construction management software.
