**Job Title:** Sanitation Supervisor

**Job Summary:**

As a Sanitation Supervisor at our Pistachio Processing Plant, you will be responsible for overseeing all sanitation activities to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations. You will lead a team of sanitation technicians, implement sanitation procedures, and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. Lead and supervise a team of sanitation technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

2. Develop and implement sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including FDA, USDA, and other relevant standards.

3. Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify sanitation issues and ensure adherence to cleanliness standards.

4. Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to schedule and prioritize sanitation activities to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.

5. Monitor and maintain inventory of sanitation supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.

6. Conduct routine sanitation audits and document findings to identify areas for improvement and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.

7. Enforce company policies and procedures related to sanitation, safety, and hygiene practices.

8. Collaborate with quality assurance and regulatory compliance teams to address sanitation-related concerns and implement best practices.

9. Investigate sanitation-related incidents or complaints and develop preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences.

10. Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to sanitation and hygiene in food processing facilities.

**Qualifications: **

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred.

- Proven experience in sanitation or food safety management, preferably in a food processing environment.

- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMPs, and SSOPs.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and motivate a team.

- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

- Certification in food safety  is a plus.

 

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.

- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various chemicals and cleaning agents.

- Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments (cold and hot areas).
