Job DescriptionJob Description

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Ivy Energy, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth strategy by identifying and qualifying potential customers within the solar energy sector. You will be the first point of contact for prospects, responsible for generating interest and creating opportunities for our solutions.

You will report to the SVP of Business Development and will partner with the Growth department, working on a dedicated business development team and various sub-teams that support the company’s brand image.

Your job duties as a Business Development Representative will include:

  1. Multi-Channel Strategy: Employ a multi-faceted approach to lead generation, combining direct phone calls, personalized LinkedIn messaging, and email marketing. Develop and refine outreach scripts and email templates that resonate with our target audience, ensuring our brand's value proposition is clearly communicated.
  2. Identify and research potential new clients: Using various methods, including Costar, Dodge and Construction Wire research, online research, networking, and social media, to identify and research potential new clients for the company.
  3. Reporting and Analysis: Maintain detailed records of outreach activities and outcomes. Provide regular reports to the sales and marketing teams, offering insights into lead generation performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
  4. Update CRM: Maintain and update the company's customer relationship management (CRM) system with all relevant information on potential clients. And support the account sales, account management, and marketing teams with CRM support as needed.
  5. Research, compile, and manage ongoing campaign outreach contact lists.
  6. Build and maintain relationships with potential clients to increase the company's visibility and generate new business.
  7. Schedule product demo meetings with the sales team and schedule meetings with potential clients for the sales team.
  8. Stay informed about industry trends and developments to identify new business opportunities for the company. Attend networking events and help promote the company’s brand.
  9. Support strategic marketing campaigns including but not limited to:
  1. Research and log key contacts and information about strategic accounts.
  2. Carry out cadence steps related to the marketing strategy which include calling key accounts and learning more about key site details and qualifying information.
  3. Explain the basics of Ivy’s services and why the product/service would be a good fit for the target company.
  4. Evaluate metrics and activity progress within strategic campaigns and help create new ideas and ways to support determined key results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a B2B sales or business development role, preferably within the SaaS industry or solar energy sector.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales automation tools; proficiency in Salesforce is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability is highly desirable.

Compensation

$55,000 to $65,000 base salary plus uncapped commissions. OTE $82,000 to $97,500

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs.
