The Marketing Specialist – Group will contribute to the creation of marketing collateral, web content, presentations, videos, and other communications that sell, educate, service, and support our multinational employer and higher education clients and their employees and students as well as the brokers who partner with them. The Marketing Specialist – Group thrives in a fast-paced team environment and has the ability and confidence to work independently while developing collaborative relationships with peers and business partners to drive progress and results. The Specialist will have exposure and experience across the business and partner with peers and business leaders across many functional areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate and maintain a broad range of marketing materials, campaigns and client communications aligned with brand standards – print collateral, web and other digital content, presentations, videos, etc.
  • Support development of custom client and/or member communications.
  • Work closely with business partners to articulate our value proposition and messaging in multiple formats for sales and account management to use in support of growth and retention efforts.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies and tactics to support the needs of business leaders and partners.
  • Represent marketing on cross-functional teams supporting the business’ key priorities, strategic initiatives, and projects.
  • Identify and/or support critical opportunities to communicate to internal audiences and provide editing/review support to ensure consistency of messaging.
  • Support the development of PowerPoint presentations for sales and other thought-leadership initiatives.
  • Coordinate and execute sponsorship and trade show activities for student and commercial business.
  • Manage relationships with outside vendors, such as printers and other third-party resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required.
  • 3+ years of work experience ideally in a sales enablement and/or marketing role. Insurance or financial services experience a plus.
  • Creative thinker with ability to problem solve and take initiative.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and research skills, and the ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to communicate complex information in a meaningful and easy to understand way to multiple audiences.
  • Experience handling a variety of tasks in a fast-paced deadline-driven sales environment with changing priorities and requirements.
  • Able to effectively drive results by fostering collaboration and buy-in.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to juggle and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong relationship management skills and a team player who can collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to remain professional under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with a high sense of urgency and work ethic to drive business outcomes.
  • Employee is required to have at minimum an internet speed of 75 Mbps (standard high-speed internet access).

Working Conditions:

  • Flexibility to work in an office and/or at-home, remote office environment.
  • Schedule flexibility is occasionally necessary in this position. Individual may be required to attend key business/departmental meetings and/or perform certain business critical job functions outside of normal working hours.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to communicate internally and externally through receiving and responding to auditory and visual methods.
