Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecast Workload and Staffing: Analyze daily workload forecasts and determine staffing needs accordingly, prioritizing critical roles.
  • Depth Chart Management: Maintain a depth chart for critical positions and ensure cross-training of clerks and operators in both inbound and outbound processes.
  • Daily Expectations and Direction: Set daily expectations with supervisors, assign tasks, and provide direction for the shift's game plan.
  • Run Daily Meetings: Conduct daily meetings to establish productivity, safety, and quality goals. Allocate resources between teams as needed.
  • Monitoring and Metrics: Monitor the flow of inbound and outbound operations, accumulate metrics, and report them to the Assistant General Manager.
  • Asset Management and Loss Prevention: Manage asset assignment and collection, aid in loss prevention efforts, and develop supervisors and leads for succession planning.
  • Communication and Building Maintenance: Be accessible via all forms of communication to respond promptly to emails and calls. Ensure building upkeep and coordinate repairs promptly.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Confer with C-suite executives, partners, and other site leaders to oversee multiple sites and disseminate company information and initiatives effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement new procedures and initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and align with company vision.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse leadership or operations management.
  • Proficiency in KPI management, Excel, and SOP development is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team towards achieving goals.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
