Account Manager – Outside Sales Representative (Eastern PA Territory)
East coast based waste management company is seeking to expand it's Transportation & Disposal division and is looking for quality, experienced and energetic sales representatives. The company is looking to expand sales of the transportation and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous industrial wastes in Eastern Pennsylvania. This is an outside sales position that will have a defined geographical territory. This position will be responsible for the sales of all company service lines in the territory, including lab pack services, remediation, soil logistics, emergency response services and industrial services, with a strong emphasis on transportation & disposal of industrial waste.
Duties and Expectations
This position requires the individual to manage a multitude of responsibilities and tasks, all oriented toward maintaining existing clients as well as attracting and obtaining new clients.
Job functions include cold calling, setting appointments, and visiting clients face-to-face.
You are expected to learn our business and the environmental terminology and regulations in order for you to perform your job successfully.
EWMI bases individual success on your “behavior” as well as sales revenue results.
EWMI believes that following behavioral expectations will result in meeting revenue goals.
It is expected that 80% of sales time will be devoted to these top five priorities:
· Cold calling for new business: 15% - 30%
· Face-to-face meetings with new and existing prospects and clients: 25% - 40%
· Following up on client files as needed to fulfill desired results: 15%
· Communication between clients and estimating / sales management: 10%
· Putting together proposals to deliver on-time to clients: 15%
Candidate is expected to live in the territory
Experience
Candidates should have 1 – 10 years’ experience in the environmental sales, hazardous waste industry.
Compensation
Compensation is based on your current knowledge of the industry and the knowledge and skills required in this position, taking into consideration the territory and existing client base. The financial package is very lucrative and details of the entire incentive package will be discussed in-detail.
EWMI will provide you with all appropriate tools, as determined by management, to perform the functions of an outside Sales Representative. These include a corporate card, a gas card, laptop computer, and business expense account. EWMI will provide a company vehicle for business purposes or a car allowance.
