We provide solutions ranging from component level OEM products, automation sub-assemblies, and end-user maintenance and repair parts. We are in an exciting age of automation and there has never been a more exciting time to be involved in this fast-paced growing industry Apex Automation and Machine is a leading provider of machine controls, machine safety products, sensors, motor controls, and motion control products. We are committed to helping our customers achieve success by providing them quality products and service with the technical support to back their needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate expertise in automation technology and related components
- Work with customers to guide them through the automation technology selection process, helping to choose products that fit their application needs
- Travel to customers for face-to-face meetings for new applications, providing technical expertise to help win business
- Prepare quotations, with either direct or indirect customer interaction
- Qualify all sales leads by discussing individual automation needs with clients by phone and email. Record and follow up on sales interactions with customers.
- Create proof-of-concept demonstrations of Apex Automation and Machine solutions to meet customer's application challenges
- Provide technical support to customers for both new and existing applications.
- Maintain customer sales activity by keeping close to new activity.
- Attends product and ongoing professional sales and product training.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3-5 years inside/outside sales experience with a manufacturer or distributor.
- Experience with Motor Controls, Motion Control, or related technologies
- Working knowledge of automated manufacturing, machine builders, systems integrators, or panel shops.
- Technical education or training. 2- or 4-year degree preferred.
