Job Title: Watch NP CapEx EPM (Equipment Program Manager)
Location: Cupertino, CA
Duration: 6 Months (with possible extension)
Payrate: $60/hr. to $67/hr.
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Watch NP CapEx EPM to join our team. This role is pivotal in coordinating equipment requirements between Engineering and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). The successful candidate will work closely with new product and product operations teams to support product launches and sustaining activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination and Communication: Drive day-to-day on-site activities to meet overall program objectives, focusing on escalations, communication, and process alignment during engineering design and validation cycles for new programs as well as during production ramp-up.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the overall guardianship of capital equipment deployed on-site, ensuring high traceability and usability of assets, and managing efficiency in equipment repair processes to minimize downtime.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead communication between internal teams and contract manufacturers, facilitating good collaboration across engineering functions, operations, and vendors.
- Project Management: Create and maintain project CapEx needs, build overall project budgets, compile budget requests, generate capitalization plans based on project schedules, and track expenditures by project.
- Vendor Coordination: Ensure on-site vendor support for setup, installation, repairs, and maintenance of equipment. Work with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery and support from equipment vendors.
- Problem-Solving and Risk Management: Identify risks, explore solutions, reach consensus, and execute mitigations quickly and efficiently, responding swiftly to changes in overall goals, schedules, and/or architecture.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Background: BS/BA degree in business or a technical field. An MBA is a plus.
- Skills and Experience:
- Working knowledge of finance.
- Impeccable organizational, multi-tasking, and management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in manufacturing or test engineering is preferred.
- Confidence in leading and working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of development and manufacturing processes.
Additional Skills:
- Proactive Leadership: Fearless in leading cross-functional teams to identify and solve problems.
- Efficient Management: Ability to drive continuous improvement in equipment repair processes and manage consumable spend efficiently.
