Electronics Systems Integration Specialist - Apple Watch

Are you passionate about shaping the future of wearable technology? The Apple Watch Hardware Product Group is on the lookout for a dedicated electrical engineer to join our Apple Watch HW Engineering Team.

This role is centered around design engineering, collaborating with diverse teams to innovate and enhance the technology used in mobile devices.

Key Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to grasp system requirements and evaluate trade-offs.
  • Devise innovative solutions to intricate technical challenges.
  • Engage in schematic capture, PCB layout design, prototype development, and debugging.
  • Conduct functional verification, signal characterization, and hardware issue tracking.
  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure product quality.
Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • System integration and processor selection.
  • Communication protocols, particularly USB, SPI, I2C, and UART.
  • Analog integration, audio design, and measurement.
  • Power electronics design, sensor design, and low power design.

Hands-on experience in prototype development, debugging, and functional verification is essential. A solid foundation in electrical engineering principles is required, along with a BS/MS degree in a relevant technical field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with the following tools and experiences is advantageous:

  • Cadence Concept & Allegro or similar software.
  • Flexible PCB design.
  • Experience with high-volume products.
  • Broad expertise in low power, low noise designs.
Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range. This allows for growth as you advance in your role. The base pay range for this position is between $143,100 and $264,200, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in our discretionary employee stock programs. Additionally, employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
