We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our accounting department by handling various financial transactions, with a strong focus on credit card reconciliations. Your responsibilities will include managing accounts payable, expense allocation, receipt tracking, data entry, internal reporting, and general administrative tasks. You will ensure adherence to company policies and accounting procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Card Reconciliations: Perform high-volume credit card account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and meeting critical month-end deadlines. Utilize multiple software programs effectively.
  • Receipt Tracking & Management: Identify and address missing transactions needed for credit card reconciliations. Communicate with employees to obtain necessary expense documentation and receipts. Upload and match receipts in expense tracking software.
  • Expense Allocation & Receipt Review: Research and match source documentation with receipts in accounting software, focusing on granular details to ensure accuracy.
  • Accounts Payable: Assist with accounts payable tasks, including vendor communication and payment processing.
  • Data Exports into QuickBooks Desktop: Support accurate data transfers between software platforms and QuickBooks using Transaction Pro. Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies.
  • Financial Data Entries & Reporting: Generate revenue and transaction reports from various software programs and enter financial data into QuickBooks.
  • Month-End Closing Tasks: Execute accounting procedures in compliance with financial policies and controls. Complete various tasks to meet month-end closing deadlines, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
  • Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to overcoming obstacles.
  • Integrity: Demonstrates impeccable integrity and a strong work ethic.

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
