SUMMARY

  • Responsible for food safety and quality document management system including creation, revision, and monitoring of document approval process of work instructions,
  • Manage key continuous improvement procedures by ensuring that logs are completed, analyzing data and generating summary reports for managerial review and ensuring.
  • Manage and conduct quality projects as directed by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and lead efforts of product/process quality and cost management improvement opportunities and resultant productivity gains.
  • Lead and coach risk assessment analysis throughout the plant. Manage issues with non-conforming product to assure proper control, minimize loses, and provide analysis to drive the elimination of future occurrences.
  • Write, revise and control food safety and quality documents (work instructions, specifications, records and data, hygiene standards, audit reports, etc) and ensure that procedures for document control are followed and completed in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate product and processes for compliance to specifications; generate accurate data, analyze data, summarize and generate report cards,
  • Actively participate in test automation initiatives
  • Responsible for supporting the Supply Base QA group by conducting finished product quality checks and Incoming of the Ingredients, packaging materials for compliance to Pearl Crop Trading specifications; analyzing and summarizing data for management reporting.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Years of relevant experience: 1-2 years’, food-manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
  • Clear understanding and working knowledge of Process and Compliance Quality Systems
  • Demonstrated strong computer skills and strong writing ability skills (word processing, database management and PowerPoint presentations).
  • Ability to motivate, lead and work with teams
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, to be pro-active and initiate action to deliver required results.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Standing, talking, hearing, and walking, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift (50 lbs.), and ability to adjust vision for close vision work. Moderate exposure to high humidity, and extremes of hot and cold temperatures are possible.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $26.00 per hour
