We are seeking Quality Assurance Lab Technician to join our team.

Schedule: Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm

Location: Stockton CA

Duties:

  • Quality Testing and Analysis:
  • Perform routine and ad hoc quality tests and analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct physical, chemical, and sensory tests to assess product characteristics, properties, and attributes, such as moisture content, acidity, color, odor, taste, and texture.
  • Data Recording and Documentation:
  • Record test results, observations, and data accurately and systematically in laboratory notebooks, logbooks, or electronic databases, ensuring traceability, completeness, and confidentiality of records.
  • Prepare test reports, certificates of analysis (COAs), and quality documentation to communicate analytical findings, test results, and quality parameters to production, quality assurance, and management personnel.
  • Instrument Calibration and Maintenance:
  • Calibrate laboratory instruments, equipment, and measuring devices according to standard operating procedures (SOPs), calibration protocols, and manufacturer specifications to maintain accuracy, precision, and reliability of test results.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning, performance, and uptime, following safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Sample Collection and Preparation:
  • Collect representative samples of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods from production lines, storage tanks, or bulk shipments for laboratory analysis, ensuring proper sampling techniques, labeling, and handling procedures.
  • Prepare samples for testing by following sample preparation protocols, sample homogenization techniques, and sample size reduction methods to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reproducibility of test results.
  • Laboratory Safety and Housekeeping:
  • Adhere to laboratory safety protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and hazardous waste disposal procedures to minimize risks, prevent accidents, and ensure a safe working environment for laboratory personnel.
  • Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and organization in the laboratory by following good laboratory housekeeping practices, cleaning procedures, and waste management guidelines.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, research and development (R&D), and management, to relay test results, discuss findings, and address quality-related issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and external stakeholders to troubleshoot problems, resolve technical issues, and implement corrective actions or preventive measures to maintain product quality and process efficiency.
