2.  Administer medications and document in medication records according to State and facility mandated rules and regulations.

3.  Assist residents with daily activities and needs when medication assistance times are completed.

4.  Encourage socialization among residents.

5.  Encourage and/or remind residents to participate in activities. Promote activities enthusiastically to pique residents’ interest.

6.  Chaperone residents to other areas of the facility during seasonal parties.

7. Monitor the health, safety, and well-being of the residents.

8.  Document information pertaining to changes in resident’s functional status, personal needs, appointments, etc.

9.  Assist in keeping the environment safe for residents.

10. Report concerns about residents to supervisor and coworkers.

11. Respond to resident emergencies; provide first-aid assistance and arrange for appropriate medical attention/follow-up.
