Position Summary

As a survey project manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of survey projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surveying, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex survey projects.


Our Lafayette Office has a long history of providing exceptional solutions to traditional and historic bridge design, city and county roadway and streetscapes, and public work projects for local cities, counties, and universities.


A Typical Day May Include

  • Lead the survey team, providing guidance and support throughout each stage of the project.
  • Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to understand their survey requirements and ensure their needs are met.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct field surveys, utilizing advanced surveying techniques and equipment.
  • Analyze survey data and prepare reports for clients, providing them with accurate and timely information.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to the survey team, resolving any issues or challenges that arise during projects.

Requirements:

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional licensure in surveying or civil engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying, with at least 2 years in a project management role.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment.
  • Proficient in surveying software and technologies, such as AutoCAD and GPS.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and interact with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex data and develop innovative solutions.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
