Administrator Director – Radiology

Our client a large Medical Center has an opening for an Administrator Director of Radiology. The Administrator Director will assists with the development, interpretation and implementation of departmental policies, budgets, and goals of the Radiology department to ensure high quality service to customers.

· Plans, directs and supervises all technical aspects of the section of department.

· Recommends action to the Chairman. Assists in the planning for all facilities.

· Directly responsible for the maintenance of existing equipment, purchasing and stock level.

· Responsible for maintaining radiologic services in accordance with standards established by the Chairman.

· Responsible for the technical aspect of radiologic safety within the hospital

· Responsible for administration of the department. Provide recruitment if necessary

· Responsible for work assignments, on-call arrangements and such changes as may be required.

· Represents the department at administrative conferences and may represent the Chairman in other than medical aspects and upon delegation.

· Participates in the intern and residency program. Participates in community health education and career programs

· Responsible for development and implementation of the operating, salary expense and capital budgets.

· Responsible for development of programs and mechanisms for compliance with the standards of JCAHO, Article 28 and other City, State and Government Agencies

· Under the Direction of the Chairman, is responsible for the development of programs and mechanism to routinely monitor the quality and appropriateness of the services rendered by the Radiology department and all of its divisions.

· Responsible for the development of planning and control mechanisms for all aspects of the Radiology Department and its divisions.

· Performs other related duties as required.

· Adhere to the Policy of the Medical Center to ensure that patient information and medical records are treated as confidential, in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations.

· Coordinates and maintains ongoing Performance Improvement Program.

· Performs all other duties as required.

This position requires:

A minimum formal education of bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years job-related experience.

Desired (not required) criteria include: Completed formal training in AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.

Meet requirements for Registry certification as approved by ARRT.

At least 3 years management experience in Radiology and Hospital Administration.
